Brainard Spray Park
Brainard Spray Park in Lyndhurst Ohio is one of the best splash pads in the area! It's a short 20-30 min drive from Akron but it's worth a whole day's fun. It's city- run, there's plenty of shade with several covered pavilions and large umbrellas and plenty of picnic tables and chairs. The staff is friendly, it's very clean and it's completely gated. There are things for the Littles and the little bigger kids too, including 5 water slides, climbing net, water cannons and tons and tons of sprayers. When the kids get tired of the water, there's a large playground right outside the gates. There's also a skate park on the property. There is a fee to get in, $8 for non-residents and tickets must be purchased online. 3 and under are free. Check it out and let us know what you think!

Firestone Park Splash Pad
Firestone Park splash pad is right outside the Firestone park community center at 1480 Girard St., Akron. Recently built, there's plenty to do here for all ages! There is a big playground with lots of little-kid sized equipment, baseball fields and lots of open grassy space. There are plenty of benches and swings and a lot of shaded area. And the best part- it's free! Check it out!
Aurora Splash Pad
Kiwanis-Moore Park in Aurora is home to Aurora Splash Pad, multiple playground structures, a skate park, a walking path, climbing rocks and more!
Aurora Splash Pad is our FAVORITE FREE splash pad in the area! It is clean and well- maintained, it is surrounded by shaded grassy area and pavilions with picnic tables and has play structures for big and little kids! There are bathroom facilities available. This park is right next to the fire station, so if your kids geek out over emergency vehicles, it doesn't get better! (They will even show your kids around if they're not busy!)
The park is open from 10am- 8pm and host a food truck event 2nd & 4th Wednesdays in the summer!
