Cleveland Guardians

Cleveland Guardians is Northeast Ohio's very own MLB team, and they play at Progressive Field, just an hour from Akron! Going to a game as a family is on our summer bucket list every year. The Guardians know what families need and have all their bases covered! You can get tickets on the family deck in right field where you can leave that "sorry about my kid" guilt behind.

They recently revamped the family deck. The Kids Clubhouse is two floors of air conditioned indoor play, and the outside deck has lots of activities, too!

Inside, you'll find a 2-story baseball bat slide, a lactation room and lots of family bathrooms. Upstairs is full of Step 2 toys, cars and rollercoasters. Downstairs you'll find the "Hot Corner," a game wall where you chase and have to hit the balls as they light up. There's also a "locker room" with all the gear the players use. Don't worry about missing the game while your kids play- there are stadium seats outside the Clubhouse overlooking right field.

Outside you'll find Sliders Sandlot, a soft surface play area for smaller kids, Guardians Dash, where kids can race against actual players' speeds, whiffleball and more.

Sundays are "kids fun days," with the opportunity to run the bases after the game and extra activities and performances for the kids.

For $25, kids can sign up for Guardians Kids Club and get cool gear, buy one get one tickets, $10 loaded value for concessions and other fun things.

While you're at the game, do not pass up the food- I'm not talking popcorn and nachos- the Guardians have food from some of the best restaurants in Cleveland! My husband's recommendation is the The Happy Dog hot dog with peanut butter, relish and hot sauce (yes, it's a thing, and it's pretty good- we even served this at our baseball-themed baby shower).

The last regular season home game is Sept. 29th!
