Dan Smith Community Park

Dan Smith Community Park in Kent is a hidden gem and our favorite place to take an outdoor meal! There is a wooden train, a tunnel slide and the coolest part- a waterfall the kids can play in! This urban park and playground is found right in downtown Kent surrounded by restaurants and shopping. There is a patio filled with swings, adirondak chairs and tables. We love to grab some food, sit down while the kids play and eat, and avoid mealtime meltdowns! A free parking lot is right behind the park through Lock Lane. The area is great for a downtown stroll; you'll find a cookie shop, a smoothie shop, a coffee shop and a bunch of restaurants within a short walk. Make sure to bring a towel and change of clothes! And use caution when climbing in the water as some of the rocks are quite slippery.
