COSI Columbus
COSI - Center of Science and Industry in Columbus is just a 2 hour drive from Akron and SO worth a day or overnight trip!
I was so excited to bring my kids to COSI because I remember going as a child. We turned it into an overnight trip and the only thing they loved more than the hotel pool was spending the whole day exploring and learning at COSI!
COSI has so much to see and do, from interactive science exhibits, to imaginative play areas, and even the current Paw Patrol exhibit! Here are some of the things our family enjoyed the most:
My little ones enjoyed the Little Kidspace, a huge area for imaginative play with an ambulance, construction zone, farmers market, tree house, water play area and more. They even have a tank with an Axolotl!
My boys really liked the Planetarium, a 60-foot dome theater (like iMax), which is currently playing a short animated movie about dinosaurs.
Paw Patrol was definitely a highlight for all the kids!
I could have spent all day in the Ocean exhibit. It's really a magical other-worldly experience!
We brought the grandparents with us and they loved the Life exhibit, which is full of tests, illusions and mind tricks that really make you question how well you know your own body and mind!
My dino-obsessed boy was in 7th heaven with all the dinosaur exhibits and so sad we came too early to see the new T-Rex exhibit which opens Nov. 2nd.
We spent the whole day and didn't even make it to every exhibit. I suggest arriving early to get the best chance at experiencing the whole thing. There is a café and a gift shop and the whole building is ADA and stroller friendly. There's even a glass elevator!
