Tuscora Park, New Philadelphia
Tuscora Park in New Philidelphia is a huge, whimsical dream park for kids! A beautiful pond full of ducks and open to fishing greets you when you pull in. It's lined with a board walk with covered picnic tables overlooking the water. Shaded grassy hills filled with covered pavilions and picnic tables surround the multiple playground structures (including a giant train structure), amusement rides and pools. There are nine different amusement park rides including a miniature train, rollercoaster, antique carousel and more. The train tracks enclose an adorable putt-putt and overlook a guarded pool with diving boards and a kiddie pool. In addition to all that, there is an amphitheater, tennis and basketball courts and a football stadium. Concessions and bathrooms are available. Tuscora Park has all the good summer vibes and is extremely affordable! 5 and under are free to enter the pool and adults are only $5. Rides are $1.50 each or 12 rides for $10. Putt-putt is $4 pp. They host tons of crafts and programs in the youth center and there are concerts on Wednesday nights. Tuscora Park is 50 minutes south of Akron but definitely worth a day trip!
